Community Service
As a board member and ambassador for the American Heart Association, I feel that it is very important to give back to the community. It is a great way to help others as well as ourselves enjoy healthier and happier lives.
The American Heart Association is very passionate about health issues particularly in populations that are high risk such as the African American communities. They are very sensitive to women's issues as well. The American Heart Association provides information at conferences and seminars to inform and educate the public about heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other diseases.
It has been an honor to serve as an ambassador for a number of years. It has opened doors for business opportunities for me. I was invited to do a Yoga demonstration at one of the women's conferences.
I really enjoy when I read or know someone who gives back to their communities. It was so refreshing to read about this because it brings awareness to alot of individuals who dont know about The American Heart Association. It is a honor when you get to work with organizations and make your message heard. Keep on doing great work
